If you're planning a golf outing or tournament, you've probably been to enough of them to know the drill: every player gets a sleeve of Pro V1s with a logo, a swag bag with a brochure, and a tumbler that ends up in the back of the cupboard. The prize-table options are usually a sleeve of slightly nicer balls, a logo'd hat, or a $25 Pro Shop gift card.
The problem isn't that any of these gifts are bad. It's that everyone gives them. By the third tournament of the season, the bottom of every golfer's closet is a stack of identical logo'd polos.
If you're putting together a tournament gift bag, prize table, or 19th-hole favor — and you want it to actually stand out — here are 18 ideas grouped by price point, from $5 tee-bag favors to $65 hero prizes. None of them are logo merch.
Tournament tee-gift / player-bag ideas ($5–$15 per player)
The "every-player-gets-one" tier. Budget per player matters here — if you're doing 72 players, $10 each is $720. Aim for distinctive but cost-controlled.
- Golf Bag Tag ($8.99) — Flexible silicone with a blank back panel for name and contact info. Designs: 19th Hole, Golf Balls, Magenta Cart, Navy Cart. Sized to ride on a golf bag handle through baggage handling.
- Golf Ball Magnet - White ($3.99) — Round, 5" diameter, dimpled white ball, high-resolution print. Sits on the office fridge or filing cabinet. Cheap enough to give to every player.
- Golf Shoe Charms (2-Pack) ($9.99) — Snap into Crocs and clog-style shoes. Off-course wear for golfers. Blue (white golf ball + blue golf cart) or Pink (white golf ball + pink golf cart).
- Tennis Stirrer Sticks (5-Pack) ($9.99) — Reusable acrylic drink stirrers. Cocktail-hour upgrade for the 19th-hole bar setup.
Prize-table mid-tier ($10–$20 per prize)
For closest-to-pin, longest-drive, and per-hole skill prizes. One per recipient.
- Golf Ball Cocktail Picks (20-Pack) ($9.99) — Dimpled white golf balls on cocktail picks. For the winner who's hosting the post-round cocktail hour.
- Tennis Card Holder ($7.99) — Hard-shell wallet for the minimalist golfer who carries five cards and a clip.
- Men's Smashing Socks - Golf ($9.99) — All-over golf pattern (clubs, balls, cart icons). Calf-height, soft cotton blend. Office-appropriate but quirky enough to remember the prize.
Premium prize-table & flight-winner gifts ($30–$65)
For top three finishers, flight winners, and the headlining "best of the day" prize.
- Antique Tennis Racquet Wine Bottle Opener ($35.99) — Yes, it's tennis. But it's also handmade from real upcycled vintage wooden racquets, no two alike, and it's the kind of one-of-a-kind prize that gets actually used at home (not buried in a sock drawer). Crossover gift for the golfer-who-also-plays-tennis crowd.
- Antique Tennis Racquet Bottle Stopper ($11.99) — Smaller, more affordable version of the wine opener. Pair with a bottle of mid-range bourbon for a $50 winner's package.
- The Golfer's 19th Hole Gift Set ($59.99) — Four-piece curated bundle, pre-wrapped. The single-prize headline for a tournament winner who'd rather get one nice gift than three small ones. Barware-oriented pieces for the post-round cocktail.
Themed side-award gifts
For tournaments that hand out fun side awards along with main prizes — "Best Dressed," "Most Likely to Lose a Ball," "Worst Shot of the Day."
- Food-Themed Racquet Butt Cap Stickers (10-Pack) ($8.99) — For the player who needs a literal "tag" on their gear. Three different 10-packs available.
- Tennis Sunglasses Case ($5.99) — Hard shell. For the "Most Sunglasses Lost This Season" award. Works for golfers too.
- Tennis Racquet Pens (4-Pack) ($9.99) — Metallic-finish racquet-shaped pens. For the "Best Scorecard Handwriting" award (everyone laughs, everyone uses them).
VIP and sponsor gifts ($60+)
For invitational tournaments, corporate-sponsored events, member-guest weekends, or high-end charity outings where the gift bag needs to feel premium.
- The Tennis Gentleman's Gift Set ($64.99) — Premium curated bundle with leather and upcycled-racquet pieces. For a sponsor's VIP guest gift.
- Tennis Lover's Kitchen Gift Set ($59.99) — Six matching kitchen pieces (dish towel, oven mitt, pot holder, mug). For golf-and-tennis crossover players. Available in Clear Skies Blue, Night Match Blue, or Grass Court Green.
- Tennis Weekender Off-Court Gift Set ($59.99) — Four-piece desk-and-travel set (mouse pad, notepad, pens, tote). For the golfer-who-also-works-from-home crowd at corporate events.
A few extras for rounding out a gift bag
- Tennis Cooler Tote Bag ($14.99) — Insulated tote for the sideline-snack player. Crossover for golf.
- Tennis Racquet Keychain - Red ($9.99) — Small daily-carry piece. Eye-catching enough to remember the tournament.
Bulk-buy strategy for a 36-player outing
Mix the tiers for a balanced gift package:
- 1 hero prize ($60) for the overall winner
- 2–3 flight-winner prizes ($30 each) for second-place flights
- 5–6 skill-prize gifts ($10–15 each) for closest-to-pin, longest drive, etc.
- 36 tee-bag favors ($5–10 each) for every player
Total roughly $400–$600 for a 36-player outing. Free shipping over $50 means tournament-sized orders hit the threshold easily.
What we don't do
A few common tournament-prize categories we explicitly don't stock:
- Logo'd polos and shirts
- Custom-printed golf balls (we don't print)
- Branded tumblers
- Promotional pens with company names
If logo merch is what your outing needs, you've got better options at imprint-specialist sites. If you're trying to do something different, we're your shop.
Order and ship
Most in-stock orders leave our Dayton, Ohio facility within 1 to 3 business days. For tournaments more than 30 days out, that's plenty of buffer. For tournaments within the next 7–10 days, email gifts@racquetinc.com first to confirm inventory before placing a large order. We're happy to help curate a gift package for your specific event.
